In this photoshop assignment we did PUNS. I choose to do the topic of this class and created a tripod, JPEG, and apple computers. I learned that you have to make a new document then take the pictures into it, or else it would not work. Also, if you pick a topic like this not many others will have these ones.
For my seventh photo assignment I choose to do BLACK AND WHITE. I choose to do black and white because I took some pictures that I thought could look cool in black and whit. I think that especially the one . with the rock by taking it and turning it black and white transformed the whole picture. I think these are good examples of black and white because I used a lot of different compositions in this assignment. I used the usage of lines drawing your eye across the picture. I also have depth of field in some, and use the texture of the wood and brought that more to life by using black and white and increasing the contrast in the pictures.
For this photoshop assignment we had to follow a photoshop tutorial and recreate it and make it into a picture with a new story just by editing it with photoshop. I learned that I am not very good at photoshop. If you find a tutorial that has the layers shown after each step it's a lot harder to mess up. Also, you have to follow every single step and you can not do any short cuts because in the long run it will mess you up.
In this photoshop assignment we had to create using a lot of different picture one picture with only the main subject moving. I learned that it was hard to make sure you didn't cut out any of the subject during the laso. You also had to make sure that you did not move the tripod at all because all the different layers of the pictures had to be able to fit together.
For my sixth photo assignment I choose to do NATURE. I choose to do nature because its fall and the leaves are changing and pumpkins are out. My mom decorated our porch with pumpkins and I liked the lighting. I think that it was hard to make the pumpkin pop with the cluttered background so I made it black and white for the turn in picture. In this assignment I learned that it's hard to get everything in a picture how you want it especially in nature. I had to make the background black and white to hopefully draw your eye more towards the pumpkin and not the messy background. I think these are good examples because the lighting on the pumpkin is really cool and the orange pops. the rule of thirds also helps draw your eyes throughout the picture. While using the black and white contrasting with the pumpkin.
In this assignment we had to take a picture of somewhere in the school. Then we had to change the context and use a theme of something else to make something completly new. I chose to pick a theme. I thought that Spiderman would be a cool idea because he can jump a lot of places and we have some really tall ceilings and heights in this school. I decided to add a spiderweb and a spider in the corner to help with the composition of lines taking your eye across the page.
For my fifth Photo Assignment I picked to do ANIMALS. I picked this because I was at a festival and it had really cool animals. It was really hard to get a picture that the main animal and the animals in the background didn't have a motion blur. I also like the first one the best because it has a depth to the picture. It also shows line composition and rule of thirds because the sheep is not centered. I think the first picture is a good example because its really detailed and the use of compositions helps create a good picture. I learned that is really hard to get animals to stop moving. I think that these pictures turned out pretty well and I like the final results.
For my fourth photo assignment I chose to do OPEN. I choose this because I used compositions in these pictures, but they didn't match in with any assignment. I used the rule of thirds by having a certain part of the boat on an intersection. I also used lines to move your eye. The textures are also contracting with each other with the wood and the smooth boats. NO EDITING, 1/250, f/4, ISO 200 I think these are god examples of open because. The boats are cool pictures, that didn't fit any specific assignment. I learned how to better use the compositions we learned at the beginning of the trimester. I tried using the rule of thirds and lines to take your eyes across the picture and not just center the one boat.
In this assignment we had to use photoshop and new tools to make the first demo car into the second demo car. We used tools like clone stamp to erase the light reflecting onto the car. We had to tint the windows and make the background black. We had to understand how to use photoshop and new tools to complete the new car. What I learned while doing this assignment is how to use a lot of photoshop tools. I learned how to use the quick selection tool which took me a little while to get. I also learned a lot about the clone stamp tool and how you have to click option before to get the little x to follow, and wherever the x goes that's what color it will recreate.
